Holliston High Pops Concert This Weekend
Looking for a way to beat that lousy “Smarch weather? ” (Or to you non-Simpsons fans “March weather”). Look no further than our local young musicians. Each year around this time, Holliston High School’s cafeteria is transformed into an intimate cabaret setting. Three stages feature multiple genres of music, from jazz and pop to classical and musical theatre while your favorite snacks/desserts are available for tableside purchase.
The talents of Holliston students are showcased in vocal and instrumental numbers under the direction HHS’s Music Department: Mr. Maxwell Evrard and Mr. Sean Bilodeau. The concerts feature the high school music ensembles: HHS Chorus, Act Two, Harmonix, T-Tones, Acapanthers, HHS Concert Band, and HHS Jazz Band. Soloists and small groups also perform and highlight the many and varied talents of the student body. These smaller acts vary for each of the two shows so each concert is a new experience!
Tickets for each show are $10 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens. Seating can be reserved in advance by contacting the Holliston High School Music Department at hhsmusic@holliston.k12.ma.us. These tickets may be claimed at the door prior to the show. Please make checks payable to Town of Holliston. General admission tickets may also be purchased at the door for both performances.
All proceeds from the two concerts go to support music programs throughout the Holliston school district. The event is produced in collaboration between the HHS Music Department and the Arts booster group, Holliston Music and Arts Parents Association.
The public is invited to attend one or both performances on Saturday evening, March 23rd at 7:00pm or Sunday afternoon, March 24th at 4:00pm in the HHS Cafeteria.
See you there!
