Christ the King's Pop-up Farmer's Market
On September 8, Christ the King Lutheran Church and Blessed Beginnings Preschool is delighted to participate in Holliston Farms Day by hosting a Pop-up Farmer’s Market. We welcome all to our location at 600 Central St. to shop offerings from local farmers and merchants, have lunch or snacks from the Pangea Food Truck, build a bird house, enjoy a popsicle, make a reusable shopping bag, find 2nd hand goods, and support the agricultural community on a local and global level. We also will be featuring tables from Habitat for Humanity and Family Promise Metrowest, where you can learn about these vital programs and find ways to get involved.
Concurrent with Farms Day, our Farmer’s Market is a part of Christ the King’s annual participation in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s; God’s work, Our hands Sunday. Each year, our national denomination joins together on this Sunday to be an intentional sign of the work that God does in, with, and through us every day of the year. Partnering with the farming community is a perfect opportunity for us as a church to expand our relationships in support of a community that is a prime example of what “God’s work, Our hands” means. It is the farming community that feeds us with the gift of God’s creation, nurturing our lives and relationships. Thank you to our farmers and to the Holliston Ag Committee for your leadership and ongoing work to put food on our tables.
Please join us on the 8th, and be sure to check out some of the farms around Holliston as well!
